UNDERSTANDING OUR INGREDIENT CATEGORIES
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Active Ingredients are those that provide important results to your skin, support the product claims, and are backed by science.
Protect and limit oxidative damage caused by free radicals or environmental aggressors such as UV and pollution.
Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Beta Hydroxy Acids are exfoliants that dissolve the bonds holding dead skin cells.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as building blocks of the skin, like collagen, elastin, and keratin.
INACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Although the term may be misleading, Inactive ingredients are necessary and play a very important supporting role in each formulation. Their job is to promote the efficacy, stability, shelf life, and delivery of the Active ingredients.
Emulsifiers are used to blend oil-based and water-based ingredients together and stop products from separating.
Provide a protective barrier across the skin’s surface to prevent dehydration and increase product absorption.
Help keep skincare products shelf-stable for longer by preventing the ingredients from reacting to air or temperature changes.
